One collision between four vehicles left two dead On MG-050, at dawn on Tuesday (29). The accident happened at the time of kilometer 207 of the highway, in the stretch between the cities of Córrego Fundo and Formiga, in the Midwest of Minas Gerais.
The Fire Department was fired around 5:30 am. The accident involved four vehicles: a motorcycle, a truck and two pickup trucks. Both victims were drivers of the motorcycle and one of the pickup trucks.
The driver of the motorcycle was 26 years old, and the truck driver was 60. Both were neighbors and lived in the same neighborhood in Formiga. The elderly owned a steakhouse on the same highway where the accident occurred. On social networks, the establishment posted a mourning message, informing that the restaurant will be closed on Tuesday.
Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, the firefighters found an advanced SAMU support unit performing the service. The ambulance doctor found the death of the two victims still at the scene.
According to information, one of the pickup trucks crashed into the back of the truck and was trapped under the cargo vehicle. As determined by the Fire Department, then the motorcyclist hit the vehicles.
The firefighters performed the removal of the bodies. The drivers of the truck and the other truck were not injured. The Civil Police and the Highway Police were at the scene and performed the usual procedures, controlling traffic and starting investigation into the causes of the accident.
Witnesses reported that at the time of the accident there was a lot of fog on the scene.
