Acer has unveiled the L811 laser projector “unlocking new possibilities for home entertainment enthusiasts.” It supports HDR10 and 4K resolution. The ultra short throw lens is capable of producing an image of 120 inches diagonally from a distance of just 0.312 m. Keystone correction and each of the four projection angles are provided, making it easier to select a location for the projector. The brightness is declared equal to 3,000 lumens, the contrast is 2,000,000: 1. Acer LumiSense technology analyzes the video signal frame by frame and dynamically adjusts the brightness level to enhance picture quality.
The advantages of the projector include the presence of an application store that provides access to streaming services, social networks and other features. It is also possible to wirelessly stream content via Miracast from devices running Android or Windows, or via EShare using iOS or Android.
At Full HD resolution, the frame rate reaches 240 Hz. In 3D Blu-Ray mode, 3D images can be output at 144Hz. The projector has a built-in pair of 10W loudspeakers. Acer EcoProjection technology reduces standby power consumption to extend laser life up to 30,000 hours. The projector is also capable of 24/7 operation. It is protected against dust (IP6X degree of protection), so it can be used even outdoors.
The Acer L811 projector will go on sale in November for $ 2,600.
