Acer presented in Russia Aspire Vero – a laptop in a case made of recycled plastic

Several days ago, Acer officially brought to Russia the newest Aspire Vero laptop, which is the world’s first “green” gadget in this segment – the device is assembled in a case made of recycled plastic without painting. Accordingly, the gadget is harmless to the environment, since it contains no polyester, polyethylene and harmful synthetic materials, plus the laptop packaging is made of recycled paper. These changes allow the company to reduce the amount of plastic that, after being used, is sent to landfills or to the oceans, causing an irreparable damage to the environment.

When designing a laptop, the manufacturer focused on components that can be recycled or made from recycled materials. For example, the gadget boasts a bright 15.6-inch IPS display that’s 99% recyclable. The laptop case is 30% recycled plastic and the keyboard is 50% recycled. Also, the manufacturer refused to paint in order not to harm the environment, and used inclusions of so-called volcanic crumbs. And to make the Aspire Vero easier to repair, the manufacturer used the most standard screws – this makes it easy to upgrade and service the product.

However, despite its environmental friendliness, the laptop is not inferior to competitors in terms of performance – the gadget is based on the Intel Core i7-1195G7 processor with Iris Xe graphics, and the operating system is Windows 11. In addition, there is a proprietary software Acer VeroSense, which allows you to adjust the power consumption of the laptop to save energy and not consume too much of it. The end result is a prime example of how a powerful laptop can be productive without harming the environment.

Acer Aspire Vero (AV15-51) is already sold in Russia at a price of 71,990 rubles.
