Xiaomi today officially unveiled its best wireless headphones – the model is called FlipBuds Pro. In the future, the FlipBuds line should replace the Mi Air series of wireless headphones.
Xiaomi approached the development of FlipBuds thoroughly: the company created a new acoustic laboratory, which included an anechoic chamber worth about $ 1.5 million. The FlipBuds Pro’s various body shapes alone have been tested on over 5,000 real-life ears (over 10,000 people tested and studied), resulting in 20 rounds of different design changes to keep the device comfortable for extended periods of time.
The headphones are equipped with three microphones: one picks up sound from the back, the second from the front, and the third picks up speech during a call. FlipBuds Pro are built on the Qualcomm QCC515 chip, due to which a three-mode active noise cancellation system is implemented. He also provided support for the AptX codec – along with AAC and SBC. The headphones can reduce noise by 40 dB and have a so-called “transparent” mode of operation, in which ambient sounds are transmitted to the user. There is also a mode for reducing the delay in audio transmission in games and when watching videos, it works with the following smartphones from the company: Mi Mix Fold, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, Redmi K40 Pro , Redmi K40, Redmi K30S Supreme Edition, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi Note 9 Pro. Later, the list of compatible models will expand.
The FlipBuds Pro uses 11mm 16 Ohm speakers with a highly resilient diaphragm. The company says the model will provide very high sound quality and total immersion. Support for HRTF technology is declared.
FlipBuds Pro works 5 hours with active noise canceling system activated and 7 hours without it. The maximum operating time, taking into account the energy stored in the case battery, is 22 and 28 hours, respectively. The headphones support the XiaoAI proprietary voice assistant and come with three pairs of replaceable silicone earbuds.
