French actor Adama Niane, who played Léonard, has died at the age of 56 in the Netflix series Lupine. Omar Sy, who co-starred with Niane in the series, called him “a man of rare kindness”.
“My deepest condolences to the family of Adama Niane, a tremendous actor with whom I had the opportunity and pleasure to act. A man of rare kindness… May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote on Facebook.
The cause of death is not yet known. The news was shared on social media by the director of the movie Get In, Olivier Abbou.
“It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Adam Niane, who I had the pleasure of working with on Season 2 of Maroni and Fury. We didn’t leave each other for 4 years, we shared intense human and artistic adventures at the edge of the world, Guyana, St. Pierre and Miquelon, even Lille. He was full of light, talented, strong. He was my hero, a friend and a partner. Rest in peace,” he wrote on Instagram.
