Actor and voice actor Isaac Bardavid died this Tuesday (1), at the age of 90, in Niterói, metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. Last Thursday, the actor was admitted to a hospital in Niterói to treat pulmonary emphysema.
Bardavid’s characteristic voice became known voicing outstanding characters, such as Wolverine, Freddy Krueger and Skeletor, from the He-man cartoon.
His grandson, João Bardavid, broke the news of the death through social networks. “90 years, 11 months and 19 days. If I know the old man well, he would say: ‘Take a trend in life, my son!’ It is with this sentence that I write that our dear actor, voice actor, writer, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, today, left for the spiritual plane ”, he published.
In addition to important work as a voice actor, Bardavid has also acted in successful soap operas, such as Irmãos Coragem, Escrava Isaura, O Cravo e a Rosa, Além do Horizonte and, more recently, in the series Carcereiros.
A descendant of a Turkish Jewish family, the actor was born on February 13, 1931 in Niterói. Before pursuing a career as an artist, he graduated in Law.
