Actor Paulo Giardini dies, aged 62

The actor Paulo Giardini, 62 years old, died in the early hours of this Monday (2).

The death was confirmed by the actor’s older sister, Eliane Giardini, and actor Paulo Betti, Paulo’s former brother-in-law. He was the victim of a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA) and had been unconscious for a month and a half, according to Betti.

His sister published: “My beloved brother left this morning. I’m so sorry I don’t have you around anymore… I’m going to miss you so much bro . I love you infinitely forever.”

She also informed that the actor’s wake will be this Tuesday (3), starting at 9 am at the Carmo Memorial Cemetery, in the Central region of Rio de Janeiro.


Paulo Betti also made a post in honor of his ex-brother-in-law. “I am very sad! Eliane’s younger brother, he came to live with us when his father, Homer, passed away. He was a teenager. He became my son and younger brother . A wonderful actor, a brave warrior of life.”

Paulo Roberto Giardini has participated in several plays, films and soap operas. In cinema, he starred in “Getúlio”, “Tropa de Elite 2” and “Se eu Fosse Você”. On television, he acted in the soap operas “Pantanal”, “O Outro Lado da Paraíso” and “A Força do Querer”.
