Actor Rafael Miguel’s case will gain documentary series on streaming

The tragic case of the actor Rafael Miguel will become an original documentary series about Max. In 2019, the young man was murdered along with his parents John Alcisio Miguel 52, and Miriam Selma Miguel 50, by the businessman Paul Cupertino Matias at the time, the artist’s father-in-law.

On Monday (2), the streaming platform announced the start of filming, which will be produced by Grifa Filmes. Still without a defined title, the series will have three episodes, with interviews and exclusive access to the investigations into the triple homicide.

The crime took place on the day June 9, 2019 in the Pedreira neighborhood, in the South Zone of São Paulo. The father of Rafael Miguel’s girlfriend, Paulo Cupertino, surprised the actor’s family by showing up armed, as soon as they arrived at the door of his house to drop the young woman off at home.

After the crime, the killer remained on the run for almost three years, only being arrested in May 2023, after passing through some Brazilian states and even other Latin American countries.

Paulo Cupertino is accused of triple homicide with double qualification, for a futile reason and a resource that made it impossible for the victims to defend themselves. Last week, the courts set the date for the criminal’s jury trial.
