Actress and model Leticia Birkheuer took to social media to share a video in which she accuses her ex-husband, Alexandre Furmanovich, of violence, from whom she has been separated for 10 years.
The actress stated that she was attacked during her marriage and recently suffered psychological threats from her ex-husband again. “My ex-husband, my son's father, shouted, in a restaurant, that the only reason he wouldn't break my face was because I was in the presence of him, our son, a child,” she declared.
In a post on his Instagram profile, Birkheuer directly addressed the issue, revealed by Veja magazine.
“What is written there is true, yes. I come here to talk to all the women who have already been through this and are going through this, to say don't be silent, report it, seek help, try to speak to a police chief, there are people there to help us.”
In the video, the actress stated: “Unfortunately I was attacked in public by my son’s father.” She expressed her sadness and indignation with what happened, emphasizing the seriousness of having been attacked in a restaurant. Furthermore, Birkheuer appealed to women facing similar situations, encouraging them not to remain silent, to report their attackers and to seek support from the competent authorities.
The actress highlighted the importance of confronting domestic violence and preventing perpetrators from going unpunished. Birkheuer stressed that no child should witness or be exposed to this type of violence, highlighting the devastating emotional impact it can have.
