Actress Marilu Bueno, 82, died this Wednesday (22) in Rio de Janeiro. The information was confirmed by the management of the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, where the artist had been hospitalized since last month.
Marilu was not married and leaves no children. The cause of death was not revealed by the hospital.
“The direction of Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital regrets to inform you that the patient Maria Luiza Bueno, known as Marilu Bueno, passed away on the afternoon of this Wednesday, June 22. She had been hospitalized in the unit since the end of May and had been receiving all the care indicated for the condition.
The actress participated in several successful soap operas and series, especially “Guerra de Sexos”, “Escolinha do Professor Raimundo”, “Sítio do Picapau Amarelo”, “Caça Talentos” and “A Grande Família”, on Rede Globo.
Marilu Bueno also acted in films, such as “O Termite”, “Better Days Will Come”, “O Homem do Ano” and “Lua de Cristal”.
Career
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Marilu was born in 1940 and started acting in his teens. His film debut was in the feature “O Termite”, a comedy directed by Carlos Manga in 1960.
He started in theater even earlier, at age 15, in the play “O Canto da Cotovia”, in 1955, and continued acting on stage until the 1980s.
In 1972, she made her teledramaturgy debut with the character Margarida in the soap opera “O Bofe”. She then acted in “Estúpido Cupido”, in 1976, the last telenovela on Rede Globo recorded in black and white.
Among the dozens of characters she played throughout her career, with stints on Rede Globo and Rede Record, Marilu stood out in the telenovela “Sem Lenço, Sem Documento”, a plot that explored the daily lives of maids and she played the lyrical singer Gilda Duran .
Her last appearance on TV was in 2020, in the soap opera “Salve-se Quem Puder”, where she played Dulce Sampaio.
