“Rio de Janeiro is not for amateurs”, was what an internet user said after the advertisement for a suite in the Rio de Janeiro capital went viral on social media.
The room in Botafogo, in the South Zone, became one of the most commented subjects on Twitter this week. The “mini-suite” is really mini: it’s only 3 square meters with a bed glued to the box, with shower and toilet.
The amount disbursed to spend a night in the place is R$ 90, and those who have already been able to sleep in the place are not complaining. On the Airbnb vacation rental website, the mini suite has 36 positive reviews and a 4.92 rating, out of a maximum of 5 stars.
“I liked it a lot….very affordable price and the room is very comfortable with plenty of privacy”, evaluated another.
The host, tour guide José Elias, is also highly praised by guests.
“Seu Elias is a 100% host, very nice people, very helpful, always ready to help. It’s really worth staying at Seu Elias’ house, you feel at home”, highlighted one user of the platform.
However, on social networks, the “mini-suite” divided opinions. The comments were divided into jokes and criticism of the ad.

“I would never think anything like that. At the same time that I think it’s horrible, I think it’s great,” wrote one user.
