Ad. Georgiadis: Greece is trying to find a common European solution to the energy crisis

“Greece from the first moment of the Russian invasion of Ukraine has tried to find a common European solution to the energy crisis as no country can deal with it alone,” Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis told Parapolitika 90.1 today.

He said the government recognizes that there is a big problem with electricity bills, and stressed the need for Europe to become independent of Russian gas.

“The war will be a marathon and not 100 meters”, the minister pointed out and added that in order for the war to end, there must be a winner.

He also stressed that the increase of the minimum wage and the reduction of ENFIA increase the income of the citizens.

Regarding investments, he stressed that they continue at a steady pace and are going very well. It is worth noting that he expressed concern about lockdowns in China due to the coronavirus, saying that it is upsetting the global supply chain. He stressed that the food crisis is a scenario that can not be ruled out.

He also noted that the inspections are non-stop in order to deal with cases of profiteering. Finally, he stated that the bill for consumer protection will be submitted to the Parliament immediately.
