The director of “Ferrari” , Michael Mann It is Adam Driver comment on the similarities between the actor, who stars in the film, and the character, Enzo Ferrari in a video provided by Diamond Films, responsible for distributing the title in Brazil, to CNN .
They compared the trajectory of the actor, who has an extensive list of productions on his CV and two Oscar nominations, with that of the driver and businessman, who founded Scuderia Ferrari and is one of the main names in motorsport.
“There is a similarity between Adam Driver and Enzo Ferrari. Adam tries Julliard [faculdade de música, dança e dramaturgia em Nova York] and is rejected. At age 19, he entered the Marines. After that, he returns to Julliard and studies. He is determined. He discovers his passion for acting and nothing will stand in his way”, says Mann.
That said, the actor confirms that he “completely understands Ferrari’s relentless ambition and absolute focus.”
“He met [Gianni] Agnelli at Fiat because of a job he couldn't get at 19. That moment of defeat and humiliation was a great catalyst for his life from then on. He was not from an elite family with many opportunities. He had to make it, just like me. I don't have anyone in the entertainment industry, but it was something I loved and felt confident in. And no one could stop me from doing that,” says Driver.

Set in 1957, in Modena, Italy, the plot takes place in a key period in the life of the former racing driver, as he tries to overcome the death of his son, fights to maintain his company and seeks to dominate the tracks.
To try to save his business, he decides to participate in the Mille Miglia, in Italy, while having to deal with a marriage in crisis.
