The Association of Banks of Russia (ADB) is launching a special expert center for digital financial assets. Olga Goncharova, GR director of Binance in Russia and the CIS, became the head of the center.
According to the Kommersant publication, the Binance platform itself entered the ADB through BN KZ Technologies Limited. President of the Association Georgy Luntovsky noted that he has high hopes for this cooperation.
“We have big plans to conduct an examination of the circulation of digital currencies and organize events on this topic,” he said.
The expert center will be engaged in “preparation of professional judgments on the circulation of digital financial assets and digital currencies.” Also, the participants of the center will provide the necessary analytical and expert materials on the circulation of digital assets in Russia. In addition, it is planned to analyze foreign experience and the possibility of its application in Russian realities.
ADB also held a round table with the participation of representatives of the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance, Rosfinmonitoring, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and cryptocurrency experts. The participants of the event discussed methods and means of legal recovery of digital assets from debtors and bankrupts.
Recall that in Russia there is still no clarity in the regulation of cryptocurrencies. The Central Bank of the Russian Federation insists on a ban on digital assets in the country, and the Ministry of Finance proposes to regulate them. Against this background, the topic of cryptocurrencies has become very popular in Russia. Yesterday, another organization – the Association of Russian Banks – said that banks should not have problems tracking cryptocurrency transactions.
