Singer Adele, 35, revealed during her most recent show in Las Vegas, United States, last weekend, that she has not been drinking for three months. During a conversation with the public, the artist admitted that her relationship with alcohol had reached its limit.
“I stopped drinking about three and a half months ago. It’s boring. I mean, I was literally a borderline alcoholic for most of my twenties, but I really miss it. I cut out caffeine,” she said. The information comes from the British newspaper Daily Motion. “So you enjoy your whiskey sour. I’m very, very jealous.”, joked the singer when she saw a fan holding a drink.
This, however, was not the first time that Adele revealed her past vices. In August, the artist told a presentation in the same American city that she drank 25 cups of coffee to satisfy her addiction. “I had a dull headache for two days because I stopped [com o café]. My head was throbbing. It was like there was a drill inside my head. Was heavy. It’s been harder than quitting smoking, harder than quitting alcohol.”, she said.
In March, another statement from Adele surprised fans. The singer stated that during the Covid-19 pandemic, she drank four bottles of wine before having lunch. “I remember when I came here [em Las Vegas] in Covid, in lockdown. It was 11 a.m. and I was definitely four bottles of wine in,” she recalled.
Photo with ring sparked speculation
Before taking the stage at his Las Vegas show, Weekends with Adele, the singer published a photo on her Instagram that caught the attention of fans. When showing her boyfriend Rich Paul’s new memoir, 41, Adele appeared with a diamond ring. The accessory was enough to raise speculation about the real status of the singer’s relationship with the sports agent.
This is because, in September, she even referred to Paul as “husband” during an interaction with a fan who, at the time, proposed to her. “You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband is here tonight,” joked Adele.
