The problems faced by the market and companies at the moment were at the center of the discussion between the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, and representatives of the Board of Directors. of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece and specifically of the president Giannis Chatzitheodosiou, the Financial Supervisor Giannis Voutsinas and the Head of Extroversion and International Relations Stefanos Georgiadis in a meeting held at the ministry.
According to an announcement, the Financial Supervisor of KEEE and president of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce Giannis Voutsinas, referred to the difficulties faced by the Covid 19 pandemic in all catering businesses and asked the minister to be flexible in implementing the measures of the State stopping the pandemic so that companies in the industry can operate safely, but without hindrance, during the festive season.
Mr. G. Voutsinas also raised the issue of the vertical rise in the operating costs of companies, due to energy inflation and said to the Minister that the measures already taken by the government to limit increases in energy, should be “dynamic” and to be adjusted during the price increase, in order to reduce their already burdened operating costs and to facilitate their limited liquidity.
Finally, he developed the chamber’s proposals for strengthening their liquidity, as a necessary condition for their proper operation and the fulfillment of their institutional role, as advisors to the State on financial issues.
