According to the state news agency Télam, Buenos Aires Security Minister Sergio Berni has warned those who have purchased drugs in the last 24 hours that they “must dispose of them”.

“Right now we are trying to locate the toxic substance to get it out of circulation. It is important that the media publicize what is happening to alert those who have bought drugs in the last 24 hours. They have to discard what they bought”, warned the minister in a dialogue on the Telefé channel, according to the Télam agency.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires said that “the registration of admission of people in serious condition continues, in the same way, the emergency system is admitting people to different health facilities, causing a constant increase in the number of hospitalized.

In this regard, the statement explains that “it can be inferred that it may be opiate intoxication and the existence of another linked product is unknown”. However, the Ministry clarifies that “when the corresponding studies are concluded, the information will be officially communicated”.
