Advent Technologies Holdings, Inc., one of the world’s leading companies in the field of hydrogen fuel cell technology, has delivered portable fuel cells to the 7th Amphibious Assault Squadron (“Z’MAK”) of the Hellenic Army.
Advent’s portable fuel cell device is used quickly and efficiently by military units to power wireless communication devices, surveillance equipment, as well as other mobile electronic military equipment, operating even in the harshest combat conditions.
The design and manufacture of portable fuel cell devices is the result of long-term and systematic research and development by Advent. Advent’s proprietary technology and advanced materials used in these applications ensure the top performance of these systems, giving them competitive advantages such as significantly reduced size and weight compared to battery technology.
Advent’s portable device is light and compact and can be part of existing operational equipment such as combat vests and backpacks, offering enhanced effectiveness and portability for a wide range of military operations. At the same time, the portable fuel cell provides up to 50W of continuous power and up to 85W of peak power, ensuring absolutely reliable charging of a wide range of high-powered electronic devices used by Z’MAK.
Advent’s device ensures quiet and uninterrupted operation in remote and hard-to-reach locations for up to two weeks, consuming only half a liter of fuel (methanol/water mixture). Fueling the device is easy and can be done even when it is in operation. Portable fuel cells have already been used successfully, in the context of the Large Scale National Multidisciplinary Exercise “PARMENION”.
