The Maná Day clinic, where Paloma Alves, aged 31, died on Tuesday afternoon (26), did not have health licensing to operate. The information is from São Paulo City Hall.
The establishment is the responsibility of midfielder Josias Caetano, who has a long history of problems with patients. At the clinic, Paloma underwent a procedure known as “hydrolipo”, where she spent around R$10,000.
In a note, the municipal administration reported that “no Health License was identified with the municipal health surveillance or even a health licensing request filed. He was fined and banned for carrying out irregular activity.”
The Municipal Health Department also reported that Paloma was rescued at 1:09 pm, 26 minutes after the call, which happened at 12:43 pm. Taken to Dr. Cármino Caricchio Municipal Hospital, the businesswoman did not resist.

All resuscitation maneuvers were performed, as per protocol, however, unfortunately, he died.
A team from the Health Surveillance Coordination (Covisa) was at Avenida Conselheiro Carrão, 1.167 – Vila Carrão this morning (27) and found the place closed. For the establishment Mana Hospital Day Ltda – CNPJ: 53.936.372/0001-90, located at this address, no Health License was identified with the municipal health surveillance or even a health licensing request filed. He was fined and banned for carrying out irregular activity.
Also at the same address, the establishment SB7 Intermediadora de Serviços Médicos Ltda. CNPJ 54.004.634/0001-41 does not have a Health License from the municipal health surveillance or even a registered health licensing request. For this location, there is only the Operating License Notice, with the Subprefecture, for Land Use and Occupation for outpatient medical activity restricted to consultations.
Investigation
The Civil Police opened an investigation into the death of Paloma Alves in a beauty clinic in the east zone of São Paulo. Paloma was undergoing a procedure when she fell ill and died.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, police officers are carrying out searches to locate and listen to doctor Josias Caetano dos Santos, responsible for the Maná Day clinic, where Paloma died. The doctor was the one who attended to Paloma when she started to feel sick.
According to Paloma Alves’ husband, Everton Lopes, the businesswoman paid around R$10,000 for the procedure. He reports that Paloma felt unwell and did not receive resuscitation instructions from clinic professionals.

According to the Police Report obtained by CNN the young woman underwent the aesthetic procedure on her back and abdomen, but during the treatment, she went into irreversible cardiorespiratory arrest.
She was expected to be discharged later this afternoon. As soon as she went into cardiorespiratory arrest, EMS was called and she was taken to Tatuapé Municipal Hospital, where the victim arrived dead. In the hospital unit, pulmonary embolism was identified as the probable cause of death.
The procedure had been contracted through social networks and payment made by bank transfers.
On social media, Paloma’s husband posted about what happened and said he would inform the location of the wake.
