AEX allocates $100 million for blockchain development in Vietnam

Cryptocurrency platform AEX has announced the launch of a $100 million fund to develop the blockchain industry in Vietnam amid growing interest in the technology.

According to the announcement, AEX plans to open an office in Vietnam and start derivatives trading, as well as invest in blockchain development. To this end, the company is launching a $100 million fund. AEX Bernd Director Asya Shergina said that Southeast Asia is a key region for the company’s further expansion.

The first $100 million will be used to support local cryptocurrency firms. AEX will provide access to high-quality DeFi projects and will incentivize increased liquidity. In addition, the company will monitor compliance with all regulatory requirements established in the region. AEX also plans to launch a blockchain hackathon in Vietnam in the second half of the year.

AEX was founded in 2013. The platform currently supports over 300 tokens and serves over a million users. Earlier, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh instructed the Central Bank of the country to launch a pilot program to study the blockchain and the state digital currency.
