In testimony during the trial of former federal deputy Flordelis dos Santos de Souza, her affective daughter, Roberta dos Santos, said this Thursday (10) that she was “certain” that Flordelis is the intellectual responsible for the death of her husband, the Pastor Anderson do Carmo, shot to death in June 2019 at the family’s home.
“Flordelis knew everything that happened. She was sovereign of everything in the house, and everything only happened because she allowed it to happen”, said Roberta dos Santos, the affective daughter of the former federal deputy this Thursday (10), during the fourth day of the trial.
Roberta also reported that Flordelis appeared to be “relieved”, moments after Anderson do Carmo’s death.
Roberta dos Santos was one of three prosecution witnesses who testified on Thursday. In addition to her, Rebeca Rangel Silva, granddaughter of Flordelis, and Erica dos Santos de Souza, adopted daughter of the former deputy, were heard.

The fourth day of trial in the Flordelis case was also marked by the beginning of the depositions listed by the defendants’ defense.
Tayane Dias, affectionate daughter, was the first to testify and said that Flordelis is an “integrity” and “loving” woman, unlike the pastor. According to the deponent, Anderson do Carmo would have abused at least two of the couple’s daughters. “Everyone in the house heard about the abuse cases,” she said.
Other witnesses for the defense are expected to be heard later this Thursday.
Former federal deputy Flordelis is accused of being the intellectual mentor of Anderson do Carmo’s murder and is charged with triple qualified murder – for clumsy reasons, use of cruel means and a resource that made it impossible to defend the victim.
In addition to Flordelis, four other people are accused of involvement in the crime and also face the popular jury. They are: Flordelis’ biological daughter, Simone dos Santos Rodrigues; granddaughter Rayane dos Santos Oliveira; and affective children André Luiz de Oliveira and Marzy Teixeira da Silva.
Flordelis denies participation and the defense of the former deputy believes in the acquittal.
