Xiaomi has previously launched a flagship line of smartphones that includes the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X models. Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Lite are also preparing for release. The characteristics of the latest model were leaked to the Web before the announcement.
Xiaomi 12 Lite should be the successor to last year’s Mi 11 Lite 5G and 11 Lite 5G NE. The smartphone will be similar to Xiaomi 12, while the novelty will receive a screen curved on the sides. The 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel will support a 120Hz refresh rate. Last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE model supported 90Hz. The battery has also been upgraded to 4500 mAh with support for 67W fast charging. Last year’s model had a 4250 mAh battery with support for 33-watt charging.

Otherwise, the novelty will be similar to Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE, as the smartphone will receive the same Snapdragon 778G platform, 6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of flash memory. The main 64-megapixel camera will be equipped with an optical image stabilization system. Additionally, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera will be installed.
The fingerprint scanner will move from the side under the screen surface, and the front camera will have a resolution of 16 megapixels (last year’s model had a 20-megapixel camera). Xiaomi 12 Lite will run Android 12 with MIUI 13.
