At least nine people were killed today in three bomb attacks on three minibuses in Mazar-i-Sharif, the largest city in northern Afghanistan, police said.
“The bombs had been placed on three small buses located in various parts of the city,” Balch Police spokesman Asif Waziri told the French agency, adding that 15 people were injured.
Another bomb blast rocked a mosque in the capital Kabul tonight, killing at least two people and wounding 10, the interior ministry said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the four bombings.
The number of attacks in the country has decreased since the Taliban took power last August, but a series of deadly bombings, in which dozens of people were killed, hit the country in late April, during the holy month of Ramadan. Islamic State claimed responsibility for some of the attacks.
