At least three university professors were killed and 15 others were injured when a roadside bomb exploded on a bus carrying university staff in the north. Afghanistan, today, as it became known by the police.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in Sarikar, the provincial capital of Parwan. The bus was carrying teachers from Al-Biruni University, according to provincial police spokesman Salim Nouri.
Some of the injured teachers are in critical condition, said Hamed Obaidi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Higher Education.
At present, no organization has claimed responsibility.
