A bomb blast near a Sunni mosque in northern Afghanistan has killed at least 33 people and injured dozens more, a Taliban spokesman has said.
“A bomb blast near a mosque in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz has killed at least 33 civilians, including children,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in a Twitter message.
In addition, it announced that 43 people have been injured.
“The perpetrators of these attacks are satanic elements and serious efforts are being made to arrest and punish them,” he said.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
