Afghanistan: Gunmen kill three women polio vaccinators

Gunmen have killed three women polio vaccinators in the eastern city of Jalalabad. Afghanistan, said two government sources, reports APE.

It was not immediately clear who carried out the two separate attacks, a provincial government official said.

A central government source confirmed the news of the shooting of the three women.

Since last year, the talks between them began Taliban and the Afghan government in Doha has recorded a number of killings in urban centers of Afghanistan.

This month, three female journalists were also killed in Jalalabad in an attack claimed by the Islamic State jihadist group.

The Afghan government has blamed most of the targeted killings on the Taliban, which has denied involvement.
