Afghanistan: Taliban Ban Female Officials from Entering Ministry of Women’s Affairs

Representatives of Taliban Workers were barred from entering the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in Kabul today, allowing only male employees to enter the building, a ministry official told Sputnik.

“Four women were barred from entering the building,” the official said.

The women intend to demonstrate for this near the ministry.

The Taliban have taken over his capital Afghanistan on the 15th of August.

On August 31, the US military withdrew from the airport in the Afghan capital, ending its nearly 20-year presence in the country.

On September 6, the Taliban announced that they had taken control of Pansir, the last of the 34 provinces in the country that they did not control.

The next day, the Taliban announced the composition of the country’s transitional government under Mohammed Hassan Akud, who had served as foreign minister in the Taliban’s first government and had been subject to UN sanctions since 2001.
