THE UNESCO, the UN international body for education, science and culture, recalls the destruction of the Buddhas in the Bamiyan Valley by Taliban 20 years ago, called on Thursday to protect its cultural heritage Afghanistan and calls for a safe environment for artists, just days after the Taliban seized power in Kabul.
