After 13 years, “Bruna Surfistinha” will have a sequel in theaters

Raquel’s story will return to theaters! After 13 years since the release of the first film, Deborah Secco announced the production of “Bruna Surfistinha 2” through their social networks.

“I couldn’t wait to tell you that one of the most important characters in my career is back. That’s right… Bruna Surfistinha is about to return to the big screen,” she wrote when posting a video with the news.

“I, @marcusbaldini @tvzerocinema and @imagemfilmes announce, first hand, the production of the feature film Bruna Surfistinha 2, a film that in its first version took more than 2 million Brazilians to the cinemas. Very excited @bsurfistinhaoficial”, completed the actress.

In the recording, Deborah Secco still admits to being nervous about the new work. “[Ela é] a character that changed everything, made me a completely different person, one of the deepest artistic dives I’ve ever had, she still has a lot of stories to tell. I thought this wouldn’t happen, I’m here biting my tongue”.

Released in 2011, the first film was an adaptation of the literary bestseller “The Sweet Poison of the Scorpion: The Diary of a Call Girl” by Raquel Pacheco.

The plot tells the story of a young middle-class woman who, upon leaving home, decides to become a call girl. Raquel quickly becomes Bruna Surfistinha, a national celebrity.

“The first film showed in a human way the life of a call girl, who often faces inhumane men who hire her. Now we are going back with Bruna bringing other themes”, he stated. Roberto Berliner founding partner of TvZero, the production company responsible for the feature film.
