Ivete Sangalo revealed the reason behind his departure from Eva Band in 1999. At the beginning of her career, when she became the lead singer of the axé group, the singer became known nationally.
In an interview with the Podpah podcast, the singer spoke about the subject after 25 years. “When you don't want to and aren't willing to share what is being proposed, you know it's time to go your way. It was very honorable in all aspects”, stated the artist.
After joining the group in 1993 and spending six years in the band, Ivete still assured that she had left amicably . “I made myself available, they understood that it was my time to take new flights”.
Still according to the singer, in 1998 she had demonstrated her desire to leave the band to follow her new dreams. “A lot of people said I was crazy, but I’m not that way,” she said.
“When you are in a band system, there comes a time when we need to balance a series of ideas, positions, beliefs and ideas that often make it impossible for everyone. You better believe in democracy and walk with that idea”, she concluded.
