The Secretary of Public Security of the Paraná (SSP-PR) confirmed during a press conference this Friday (10) that the bones found by the authorities belong to the boy Leandro Bossi, who disappeared in 1992. The fragments were analyzed and identified by the Civil Police (PCPR) and the Scientific Police of Paraná.
Son of a fisherman and a maid, Leandro disappeared on February 15, 1992 in Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná. At the time, the boy was seven years old.
The identification took place after the collection of samples of fragments stored in the Scientific Police match the DNA of Leandro’s mother. The collection of genetic material from family members was carried out by the Missing Children Investigation Service (Sicride) in 2021.
With Leandro’s identification, twenty-six children are still missing in the state. The SSP-PR did not give details of where the bones were located that allowed the boy to be identified.
The Agency of CNN Brazil contacted Leandro’s family, but so far has not received a response.
