Lisa Jewell’s new book, “Invisible girl “It was launched this month in Brazil by the intrinsic publisher. The work, which is a thriller, explores the incel underworld that occurs in the internet forums.
“Inel” is a term that unites the words of celibate and involuntary in English. Usually, the term is used pejoratively to describe a man considered sexually frustrated that nourishes hate by women.

According to the book’s synopsis, Saffyre is a young woman full of trauma who commits self -mutilation. After years of therapy, she has discharge and decides to observe the daily life of her former psychologist. However, after that, it disappears.
The main suspect is a man of over 30 who is classified as Inel because he has never been related to a woman who is accused of harassment at his school. He then gets even more involved with the incel forums on the internet.
The thriller explores what leads a person to put himself even more inside this underworld, if appearances speak the truth and who is responsible for the girl’s disappearance.
Like the author’s other works, such as “None of this is true” and “The night she has disappeared,” the work is filled with complex twists and layers of all characters.
