After an accident, Spacex Starship Nave is released to the next release

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported on Friday (28) that authorized the Return of the Spacex Starship vehicle to flight operations while the investigation into the Starship Flight 7 incident, which took place on January 16, remains open .

FAA has stated that it has issued a license authorizing the launch of Starship Flight 8, which involves the combination of the Sparrow Starship and Super Heavy propeller, from Boca Chica, Texas, after the company completes a required safety review and supervised by the agency.

The mission includes the return of Super Heavy thruster to the launch site for an attempt to capture the launch tower, as well as a landing in the water of the Starship vehicle in the Indian Ocean, west of Australia.

Spacex said it is preparing to launch the mission next Monday (3) and that “several changes in hardware and operations have been made to increase the reliability of the upper stage.”

FAA reported that Spacex has met all safety, environmental and licensing requirements for the new suborbital test flight.

Spacex’s Starship 7 rocket disintegrated minutes after the launch, spreading wreckage over the North Caribbean and forcing airlines to divert dozens of flights.

The next flight “will follow the same suborbital trajectory of previous missions and target goals not achieved in the last test,” said Spacex.

The company also pointed out that Starship’s front flaps “were improved to significantly reduce their exposure to reentry heat, while simplifying underlying mechanisms and protection coating.”

In September, FAA proposed a $ 633,000 fine against Spacex for not meeting the 2023 licensing requirements before two releases.

Spacex founder and CEO Elon Musk, who leads the efforts of former President Donald Trump to reform the United States government, last year asked the FAA administrator’s resignation, Mike Whitaker, who chose to leave office when Trump took over the presidency.
