On X, the former Twitter, several Internet users considered the measure unfair, after the jury justified the disqualification for “undetermined cause”. “The biggest robbery in the history of the Olympics”, wrote one user. “There is no human being in the world who will make me believe that Rafael Macedo was not robbed at this Olympics”, said another.

Brazil has already won four medals in Paris. Two of them came from judokas Willian Lima, who took silver, and Larissa Pimenta, who beat Italian Odette Giuffrida in the under 52kg category to take bronze.
