Elon Musk said in a statement on Monday that he wants to make Twitter “better than ever” after announcing that his bid to acquire the company had been approved.
“Free speech is the foundation of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital city square where issues vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said.
In the same post, Musk continues: “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating spam bots and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and user community to unlock it.”
