After chaos at ABC stations, CPTM works normally this morning

All lines of the Paulista Metropolitan Train Company (CPTM) normally operate on the morning of Tuesday (1st), after a strong storm that partially interrupted the circulation of trains on the CPTM Turquoise line on the afternoon of last Tuesday (31).

Santo André station even needed to be temporarily closed due to the rains.

In a statement, the São Paulo subway reported that due to the flooded line of CPTM line 10-which connects with the 2-green line at Tamanduitai station-trains circulated with speed restriction and longer stopping time to avoid overcrowding on platforms.

Storm

The strong storm that hit the ABC region in Greater São Paulo on Monday (31) partially interrupted the circulation of trains on CPTM’s 10-Turquoise line.

The circulation of trains in the CPTM Turquoise line was resumed at 6:25 pm, from Santo André Station, towards Rio Grande da Serra.

In the opposite direction (Jundiaí), since 2:50 pm, the operation remained temporarily paralyzed between the Mauá and Utinga stations.

The course of line 10-Turquoise is made on the banks of the Tamanduitaí River, which flooded. Avenida dos Estados, one of the main connections between ABC and the city of São Paulo, was taken by the water .

To serve the affected passengers, CPTM has called the Paese system and made 30 buses, which travel among the banned stations. The service will function until the normalization of the circulation of the trains.
