The Civil Police of São Paulo reported that the cousin of the singer MC Gui who had disappeared was found alive on the night of last Wednesday (31) in Jardim Santa Helena, south of São Paulo.
Also on Wednesday, the singer had used his social media to report the disappearance of Kauan Castanheira Vidal Leal, 28 years old. In the post, he reported that the boy had been “kidnapped”.
The police did not provide details about what happened to Kauan or confirm whether he was in fact kidnapped. However, the Public Security Department, in a statement, referred to the boy as a “victim” and said it is seeking the “identification and arrest of the perpetrators.”
“The Civil Police are investigating the case through a police inquiry opened by the Rio Grande da Serra police station. The victim was found on Wednesday night (31) in the Jd. Santa Helena neighborhood, in the south of São Paulo, and will be heard in the coming days. The police authority is carrying out investigations aimed at identifying and arresting the perpetrators, as well as clarifying the facts,” the note says.
After the news that Kauan was found, MC Gui returned to social media to thank followers who shared information about the disappearance.
“Once again, thank you to each of you who yesterday used all social networks, all contacts, to be able to find [o primo]. Not just finding, but saving a life. Thank you to everyone who participated yesterday and saved my cousin’s life. I love you all very much,” said the artist.

Remember the case
The young man went missing after being last seen on Wednesday morning (31), when he was making a delivery for the company he works for, located in Rio Grande da Serra, in Greater São Paulo, to make a delivery in Poá, also in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
At the scheduled arrival time, Kauan stopped answering the company’s calls, which led the institution to activate insurance. A few hours later, the information came that the vehicle he was in had been found burned. The truck had approximately 400 pieces of clothing, with an estimated value of R$10,000. Kauan was not at the location.
The case was registered at the 12th DP (Pari).
