THE owner of the pet shop where a dog died from hanging on the grooming table announced the temporary closure and said that the establishment, located in Planaltina de Goiás, was vandalized after the episode .
The announcement was made via My Pet’s social media. The owner of the establishment also regretted what happened.
“It is with great sadness and regret that I announce the temporary closure of My Pet, Haxa’s death certainly shook me a lot, she was my client since 2021”, stated the owner.
The animal’s owner, Angélica Alves, reported that the dog died from hanging in the pet shop last Tuesday (3 ). According to his report, the tutor’s son went to the establishment to pick up Haxa and came across the dog hanging by the collar and alone in the pet shop .
“In my house we are all unstructured. My son who saw the scene is not sleeping at night, the youngest sleeps hugging her sheet. I try to be strong, but I am destroyed”, said Angélica.
In the statement published on My Pet’s social media, the owner said that she was always very present at the establishment, but had to leave after the birth of her children.
“I am very sorry for what happened and once again I make it clear that I know the guilt and responsibility that I carry as owner of the place, I have already offered and now I offer my support to the family in public, I know that nothing I can say here will go bring her back, but whatever I can do to ease this pain I will do”, adds the publication.
