After the strong heat wave that hit much of Brazil this week, temperatures in the city of São Paulo are expected to drop 10 °C in the second half of November, according to meteorologist Desirée Brandt.
In an interview with CNN This Monday (13), the specialist stated that thermometers in the capital of São Paulo should not exceed 20 °C on the 22nd.
However, Desirée warned that cities across the country could see new temperature records over the next few days.
“We will have rain showers from Friday (17). More rain is expected over the weekend. The heat won’t go away for good, but it will be a different world from next week onwards”, said the meteorologist.
According to her, the El Niño phenomenon should continue until autumn, bringing rain to the southern region of the country and dry weather to the northern states.
