After posthumous nomination by Marília Mendonça, Maiara and Maraísa recall partnership

The duo Maiara and Maraísa recalled, this Tuesday (20), the partnership with singer Marília Mendonça — who died in November 2021 — after the album “Patroas 35%” was nominated for the Best Country Music Album at the Latin Grammy Awards. .

“Patroas 35%”, a collaboration between Maiara and Maraísa and Marília Mendonça, was released in October 2021, days before the accident that killed Marília.

The awards will be on November 17, in Las Vegas, United States. There are 53 categories involving recordings released between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022.

On social media, Maiara and Maraísa stated that “it is a great challenge to try to translate such complex feelings into some sentences. Emotions seem to have a taste, the sweetness of conquests lives in the midst of the bitterness of absence. Together we shared sofas, rooms, music, dreams, smiles and tears”.

“This nomination is a collective achievement, even though 35% is an account that would never close at 100%. Wherever we are, you will always be. Our fight is for this place to be the top”, added the duo in the publication.
