In a matter of six hours, it rained more than expected for the entire month in the city – about 260 mm.
The most impacted region is known as Morro da Oficina, in the Alto da Serra neighborhood, where it is estimated that between 35 and 50 houses were affected.
THE CNN showed, around 9:35 am this Wednesday (16), that several traders were working to clean their workplaces after the flood invaded. Some roads were completely blocked by the accumulated mud. Look:
At least two buses were swept away and destroyed by the force of rainwater. One of the cars affected by the flood, in the historic center of the city, was dragged until it fell into a stream.
At around 8:40 am this Wednesday (16), the CNN showed images of the Piabanha River, which overflowed on Tuesday, and dawned with a vehicle destroyed in the middle of its bed. Look:
There is also damage in other regions such as 24 de Maio, Caxambu, Sargento Boening, Moinho Preto, Vila Felipe, Vila Militar and Uruguay, Washington Luiz and Coronel Veiga streets.

The Civil Defense reported that there is still a forecast of light to moderate rain at any time in the municipality, this Wednesday (16).
