The fictional city of Verdansk has been the original map for Call of Duty: Warzone for a very long time – during this period, the developers managed to change the architecture of locations several times, changed the color scheme with the release of Black Ops Cold War, and even added rifts, breaking several high-rise buildings. But, apparently, the history of Verdansk on the sixth season of the royal battle will come to an end – Amos Horzh, the creative director of Raven Software, said that in the near future (most likely at the beginning of the seventh season), the battle royale will receive a completely new map, and Verdansk will be removed.

The developers plan to put a point in the history of the original map together with the release of the new part of Call of Duty called Vanguard – the game should go to release on November 5, at the same time, apparently, a new Pacific map will be added to Warzone. There is information on the network, including screenshots from the presentation, which depicts a rather imposing island with a mountain in the center – this is probably the future springboard for battles. The developers themselves stated that they were creating a new location from scratch, implementing new ideas and landscape features. Moreover, the information publication VGC, citing Raven Software, reported that the new map will be noticeably larger than Verdansk, plus completely new vehicles will appear on it. Unfortunately, so far there is no specificity regarding these innovations.
In addition, there are practically no chances that Warzone will have two maps to choose from, as in the same PUBG, for example – the developers promised to explain the disappearance of the original location in a plot, replacing it with something new. Accordingly, gamers will definitely not be given the opportunity to choose.
