One person was killed and more than 60 were injured after two different tornadoes hit the city. Ohan of central China and another city in Jiangsu Province in eastern China, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.
In Wuhan, six people are missing and 41 are being treated after a tornado swept through Qingyang province at 20.39 local time. According to the agency, the lives of the injured are not in danger. Local authorities said strong winds uprooted trees and tore off building roofs.
A second tornado hit the city of Shengche, near east China’s Suzhou, killing one person and injuring 21, two of whom are in critical condition. The winds damaged power plants and several factories in Shengche, the Suzhou Fire Department said.
