The vocalist Father Lanza spoke about the possibility of a future return of the band Restart shortly after the end of farewell tour from the group, “Pra Você Remember Tour”. The show cycle recently came to an end after nostalgic performances across the country.
THE CNN, Pe Lanza began by saying that the meeting with the fans was a gift for the artists and that the tour was a “very big overcoming” for him on a vocal and personal level.
“In addition to being a gift for the fans to be able to enjoy these 15 years of Restart and have the commemorative tour, it was a gift for me too,” he said.
With the end of the group’s performances, Pe Lanza was optimistic not only for his future in music but also for his colleagues Fr Lu , Thomas and Koba. “Restart is over, but I’m sure the future holds bright things, not just for me but for the four of us individually,” he said.
“Although my voice changed, in terms of performance it was the best that people could see in the history of Restart. We were more mature”, he said. The singer also recalled why they organized their farewell tour ten years after the end of the band.
“The initial factor came mainly from us not having fulfilled our agenda back in 2014. When we announced the closure of activities, Restart received a lot of criticism and we were tired of having to prove a lot of things, so we needed that breather”, he said.
As for future reunions, Father Lanza stated that they may have new projects together in the future, but that now each one is focused on their own plans.
“Who knows in a few years With this further learning, we will not be able to see the history of Restart in any other way and with an even greater dimension”, he stated.
With the end of the Restart tour, Fr Lanza announced a solo career releasing his new single, “Te Quero”, at the end of November. “For my part, I really want to show people that I have a lot to say. […] Alone we can dare a little more”, he concluded.
