Russian FSB officer Konstantin Kudryavtsev, who, according to the Bellingcat investigation, was involved in the assassination attempt on Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, bought an apartment in Moscow for 7 million rubles less than two months after the poisoning. This was announced on Facebook by Navalny’s associate, lawyer of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Lyubov Sobol, who published a photocopy of the apartment purchase and sale agreement.
The FBK noted that it is impossible to explain the source of income for buying an apartment by the earnings of Kudryavtsev’s family members: the wife of an FSB officer has not worked for the last 16 years, and his mother-in-law is a pensioner.
Based on this, Sobol concludes that Kudryavtsev himself acquired the housing.
“Our assumption that the apartment was bought with the money received for the attempted murder of Navalny has received new confirmation,” the fund summarizes.
