After the singer’s hospitalization, Bloco da Lexa is canceled in Rio

THE Lexa’s block which would take place during this year’s Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, was canceled after the singer’s recent hospitalization. Pregnant with her first daughter, the artist was hospitalized last Monday (20) with early pre-eclampsia.

The information was shared on the Block’s official profile, in conjunction with Riotur, a tourism company in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro.

“Riotur wishes a full recovery to the singer Lexa, who always brightens our Carnival with her joy and talent. At this moment, we understand the importance of prioritizing pregnancy and inform you that, unfortunately, Lexa’s block will not be released at Carnival 2025”, they mention in their caption.

When the artist was hospitalized, she shared a post on her social networks, where she announced her withdrawal from this year’s Carnival parades, for health reasons. In addition to the block, she would parade as drum queen of Unidos de Tijuca, in Sapucaí.

After hospitalization, Darlin Ferrattry the singer’s mother Lexa also published a statement on social media, which mentions that her daughter’s shows and events have been postponed.
