The horror movie “Bambi: The Reckoning” (which can be translated to something like Bambi: the Reckoning) had its first trailer released.
The charismatic deer that in the original animation leaves with his friends to explore the forest where they live, in this version will be a murderous animal, in search of blood.
The film takes place shortly after the phenomenon of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” — a franchise that has already won two films and has a third confirmed — in which Pooh, Piglet, Owl and Tigger go crazy and swear revenge against human beings, going on a bloody hunt.
Both projects are possible because both Bambi and Winnie the Pooh entered into public domain in 2022, when the children's books in which the characters first appeared completed 95 years since publication, putting an end to the limitation of copyright on the works.
Himself Mickey Mouse Disney's most emblematic character, entered the public domain on January 1st of this year, and the following day he received the announcement of a horror film to call his own.
According to the film's synopsis, “Bambi: The Reckoning” will follow Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron), who are involved in a car accident and begin to be hunted by the cruel killing machine: Bambi.
The film does not yet have a confirmed release date.
