Highlighting a national feature film and a production with the actor Jackie Chan the week’s schedule at Afternoon session promises, mainly, adventure and drama. This time, it will be only three films were shown . The weekly grid has been changed due to the start of the 2024 Olympic Games, in Paris, France.
From July 22 to 24, TV Globo’s schedule includes films from 2010 to 2021, with renowned names in cinema, such as international actors Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, and the nationals Zeze Motta It is Thalita Carauta.
The 2024 Olympic Games will open on Friday (26), but Paris will host events even before the official ceremony. On Wednesday (24), men’s football and rugby sevens will kick off the proceedings. On Thursday (25), Brazil will make its debut, with a women’s handball match between the Brazilian team and Spain.

Monday (22) — “4×100 – Running For A Dream” (2021)
The Brazilian feature film tells a fictional story set during the 2016 (Brazil) and 2021 (Tokyo) Olympics. In the plot, a defeat in the Olympic final in Brazil in the 4×100 relay forever marks the lives of a team of Brazilian athletes. In 2021, they have a new chance to rewrite this story in Tokyo, Japan.
Tuesday (23) — “Karate Kid” (2010)
In this reboot, a 12-year-old boy named Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) moves to China with his mother, where he trains in karate. He knows a little about the martial art, but his skills are not enough to face the school bully, Cheng (Wang Zhenwei). Dre then befriends Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), a martial arts master who teaches him the secrets of kung fu.
Wednesday (24) — “Where Hope Is Born” (2014)
The film features Calvin Campbell (Kristoffer Polaha), a former baseball player whose career was cut short by a series of personal problems and who finds himself in a state of depression. Disillusioned with life, everything changes when he meets Produce (David DeSanctis), a young man with Down syndrome who works at the local market and helps Calvin feel inspired again.
