The military police officer who authorized the recording of a video in which American influencer Gen Kimura follows a police chase and the routine of São Paulo military police officers for approximately 24 hours was removed from his duties.
The video, published earlier this month, shows Kimura not only inside the police vehicle, but also participating in preparatory training for agents.
At one point, the police show the squad inside, including the storage of weapons used in actions and in daily work.
During the video, the influencer, accompanied by the military, participates in persecutions and inspections in three different favelas in São Paulo.
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the police officer was reassigned to another role.
During one of the chases, Kimura records the moment when one of the agents says: “When we kill a criminal we celebrate with cigars and beer.”
According to the SSP, the phrase mentioned does not match the practices adopted by the State security forces.
