Agreement between Ukraine and Bulgaria on grain exports through the port of Varna

Ukraine has reached an agreement with Bulgaria to export its grain through the Bulgarian port of Varna, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said after talks with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov on Thursday.

Zelenki did not mention the timing of the agreement, nor did he provide details on the volume of grain that Ukraine will export via Varna in the Black Sea, but the agreement between the two countries is a positive development for Ukraine, whose exports have been affected by of the Russian invasion.

“It is a great pleasure for Bulgaria to make Varna a logistics hub for grain and sunflowers and to distribute grain that you can not through your ports,” Petkov said at a joint news conference with the two leaders in Kyiv.
